Sharm’s Amazing Race
Sharm’s Amazing Race is a community / charity event based on the popular TV show ‘The Amazing Race’. The race will take place on Sunday 21st March from 9.00am – 6.00pm. Each team of four will travel all over Sharm deciphering location clues, and completing challenges from water-sports, to brain teasers, to racing – there is no limit to what you and your team members might come across, all against the clock. Teams are only allowed to travel by public transport either service buses or taxi’s, and will have a limited amount of money. At each Pit Stop the last teams will be eliminated, leaving only 4 teams on the final leg, racing to win an amazing prize. Each team will be issued a race pack, sponsorship form, raffle tickets to sell, T-Shirts, and instructions, plus BBQ and après race party at the Tavern for all of the competing teams. All you need to do is register your team online on www.sinaiweekly.com by just filling out the form with the name of your team. To secure your place you must complete your first challenge: Find Moira, and pay the 200le registration fee. This fee will cover the administration and printing costs – all remaining money will be donated to the Children’s Cancer Hospital charity. I don’t think it is about belief; it is more about respect and acceptance for other people’s beliefs. It is not about my opinion either as opinions become diluted with age.
The ‘Evil Eye’ is believed by many cultures to be able to cause bad luck or injury on the person to whom it is directed.
The concept and significance of it varies widely between cultures, but for me the psychodynamics are of ‘envy.’
