1. Can you tell me a little bit about your project?
My project is Baking homemade Treats (different kinds of Cakes, Cookies, Cupcakes,..) with high quality and reasonable prices .
2. What inspired you to do this?
To be honest my husband inspired me, and encouraged me to carry on doing this, as I love to indulge him with new treats, and of course he is my financer ☺ Whenever we go somewhere to eat, he always says, “you make it better”. Also I have a baby boy, and I have to make sure that he can eat a hygienically, healthily made dessert. Family and friends admired my homemade dessert and presentations.
3. What are your plans for the Sharm market?
My plan is to create a view panel with options, for the people of Sharm, to have the chance to choose their favorite treats, and even customize them according to their needs, instead of being forced to pay too much for having a standard type dessert. “That is what I have been suffering from since I lived in Sharm.”
4. Who are you targeting?
Well my near future target is reaching all resident families in Sharm, ladies, anyone interested in desserts and my favorite cafés. My far future target is reaching ALL PEOPLE THROUGH MY DESSERT TV PROGRAM AND MY DESSERTS RECIPE BOOK ☺ who knows? I really hope that I can achieve that soon.
5. Do you have a passion for all types of cooking, or just baking?
Yes, I love to cook, but not all kinds of cooking. I like Italian cuisine, Thai and Chinese too. I love using kitchen tools. I’m really interested in them; what you can do with them and the way they work.
6. If you could recommend someone to one of your baked items, which item would you recommend and why? Just one :-)
I recommend my chocolate cupcakes because they are mouthwatering. With the melted chocolate chunks inside - that’s my twist. They can be customized to richer cake with frost. A single portion is very satisfying, fits all kind of party occasions, with different decorations. They are also elegant, yet very affordable. What a combination!
7. Where do you sell your baked products?
At the moment, some of my products are served at Tango café , Luna lounge, Aladino café and orders are made through my face book group (Cakes’R’uS ).
8. Do you do special orders for events?
Yes, I do special orders for events, but with enough time as shown in my group’s photo details. Each item has it’s time needed to create, giving me the chance for creativity.
9. How much time do you need to create your product?
As in the previous question, each item has its required time.
10. Is there anything specific that you would like to tell Sharmers?
I’d like to tell Sharmers a simple statement - in desserts there are no rules, Just the good taste. So get out of the box, and the standard types, and try new twists.
